2026 AGM and Awards Presentation

Katoomba District Athletics Club will be holding its 2026 Annual General Meeting and end of season awards presentations on Sunday 17 May 2026 at 2pm.It will be held at Wentworth Falls Public School Hall, Falls Rd Wentworth Falls.All members are invited to attend.The AGM will receive the statutory reports for the Club and elect office bearers for the 2026/27 season.  The Annual Report is available on our website.Awards will then be presented to Age Groups, those with

End of season 2025-2026

Saturday 21 March 2026 is our last Club day of the summer season.Its been a great year for the Club with our new ground bedding in nicely and so many local and representative achievements for our members. We're very much looking forward to work starting on our new Clubhouse in the offseason.We look forward to seeing you at our AGM and Presentation afternoon in May.

2025-26 Season Starts

Our summer season for 2025-26 starts on 20 September 2025.  Ground works at Pitt Park are almost finished thanks to the tremendous work of Blue Mountains City Council.  We can now watch the new grass and turf grow and settle in through the season as we celebrate our 400m World Athletics specification athletics track come to life!We're starting the season with two weeks of skills clinics before we start the competition programs in October.Registrations are still open! Registrations for 2025/26 Season open on 1 August

Registrations for the 2025/26 season opened on 1 August 2025 and there is no better time to register for Little Athletics.Pitt Park is undergoing some generational changes to the ground which ensure we have the best athletics field in the Blue Mountains. 2024/25 AGM and Season Presentation

All financial members are invited to attend the 2024/25 Annual General Meeting of Katoomba District Athletics Club which will be held at Wentworth Falls Public School Hall, Falls Rd Wentworth Falls on Sunday 18th May 2025 at 2pm. Following the AGM, there will be a presentation of awards for the 2024/25 summer season of competition. An invitation is also extended to financial members who would like to nominate to join the club's committee for the 2025/26 season. Our summer season for 2024/25 concluded with a fantastic family fin morning.We have some athletes competing at the coming State Championships and we wish them well.We will announce our Annual General Meeting and Awards afternoon soon.

2024 - 2025 Season starts 7 September 2024

Our summer season will start on 7 September 2024 for all registered athletes. Athletes who have never participated in Little Athletics can trial on the 7th but will need to contact our Secretary in advance. Warm up will start at 8:15am each day followed by competition start at 8:30am, and offer the full program of track and field events. 2023 State Championships

Katoomba District Athletics had 12 athletes compete at the Little Athletics NSW State Championships on the weekend of  18th & 19th March 2023. These athletes all qualified through from the Region 3 Championships that were held in February at Dubbo. The 12 athletes competed in a total of 20 events where they participated in 17 finals. We had a total of 10 results in the top 10 for their event, including 2 Gold medals that were awarded to Douglas Pentecost for the U12 Boys Shot Put (13.67m) and Will Zakis for the U17 Boys 800m (1:55.74). Gold Silver Bronze at Dubbo Regional Championships

Katoomba Athletics had 43 athletes qualify through to the Little Athletics NSW Region 3 Championships that were held at Barden Park Dubbo on 4th & 5th February 2023. They competed in a total of 139 events and won 7 Gold, 16 Silver and 10 Bronze medals. William Zakis also set a new Region record int he U17 Boys 800m. Well done everyone!

Expanded facilities for 2022/23

Katoomba Athletics has been working very closely with Blue Mountains City Council to offer improved facilities for the 2022/23 season following the heavy rains earlier in the year. Extensive works have been conducted on our normal Pitt Park facilities to improve drainage, stabilise the surface and ready the locations for long jump, shot put and discus.
